I'm pretty sure my inmate started the fight, but it's kind of hard to prove it. They both beat each other stupid really.

Hm... I'm going to have to find out how much was self-defence and how much outright murderous intent. I've no doubt he had the latter, but guilty of other crimes or not were he provoked into violence I shouldn't hold him accountable. Though beyond this point, I believe I will be stipulating he stay away from your inmate. They seem to bring out the worst in each other.

All I really know is your inmate gave as good as he got, and my inmate did the same.

And you don't have to tell me twice. Clapet's not going anywhere near your clown again.

I wouldn't doubt for a moment he would take advantage of the loophole, though it's possible that Clapet wounded his pride enough that he'll claim his damages. Quite a winner I have in the inmate department, what say? What did he use to attack him with?

Not much. I was affected by the flood when it happened - it was taken care of by the time I found out.

Ah, well. One can't help circumstances. However, I have a reward for you for what you have done, if you've the time to meet me somewhere.

Maybe. My inmate was bragging about it. He hates clowns. It's a long story, but I get why he'd jump on the chance to beat him to a pulp.

Well, I found a metal butcher's glove on Clapet when I discovered the bodies, and some kind of knife on your guy. A lot of it seems like it was done with their fists and teeth though. Real brutal stuff.

That's okay, Doctor, I was just trying to help.

I'm going to give you something! Now hush up and pick a place and time!

[This is affectionate annoyance, really. I promise.]

[Siiigh. Tim just chuckles a little.] All right, all right. I'm free now, if you are.

Will your quarters do?

Yeah, sure. That's where I am.

[It doesn't take him long to get there. He's quick and spry, for being as old as he ~looked~. He knocks on Tim's door as he reaches it, still warily eyeing around for his inmate because he can never be too sure if he'll jump on his head out of the shadows.]

[The door was opened quickly enough, and Tim's standing there with a small, polite smile on his face. Really, gifts aren't necessary Doctor, he was just helping. And he's definitely not rehearsing what to say or anything.] That was quick.

[And then he smiles a little, returning the gesture politely, and rather than say anything he holds up a key dangling from a chain. A key with the seal of rassilon stamped into the end of it.] As you took such good care of mine, I thought you ought to have your own.

[Well, he did need to say something.]

[He blinked at the chain, eyes focusing on that seal quickly. That was - oh. His eyebrows shot up, and his eyes widened a little.] You - really?

[And that might be the beginnings of a grin, because he's wanted to poke around a TARDIS since he first heard about them.]

Of course! Go ahead! [He extended his reach a bit further, swinging out the key for Tim to catch. After all, in some other universe Tim was like a son to him. He'd once said fear made companions of us all. Love applied to that, as well.]

[Okay, he didn't need more urging than that. Tim reached out, taking the chain and holding it up to get a better look at the seal.] This is really - thank you, Doctor. This is great. I've, uh - I've wanted to see inside the TARDIS for a while. [He wanted to see it properly, though, not just while he helped Seven.]

You've never had a chance to before? [He sounds absolutely astounded by the idea of that. After all, with all the Doctors that came and went one of them must have noticed how talented Tim was.]

Well, now you've the chance. And perhaps I'll show you the library when I work out how I ought to organize the blasted thing.
