If you've not been with me quite that long, I believe I understand why. Most of my other incarnations didn't have the chance to hold on to their comrades for whatever reasons as long as I did. Either that or I'm more of a sentimental old fool. I never could get idea they might outgrow me, and held on for longer than I should have.
