By Omega. I can't imagine why he would do that, though. It would completely have countered Rose's- the only reason I can think of is to assure Rassilon he wouldn't die when without a warden.

The Master did manage to escape. So it might not be an idle statement. But then again, Rassilon might be exaggerating.

In any case, it explains why Rose went through so much difficulty.

I believe the point is to graduate my brother, and then leave together, if what Rassilon says is true.

But my brother would never want Rassilon in charge of Gallifrey, and I can't imagine he would allow himself to be redeemed if he knew the planet would be handed right back.

Well obviously we're going to have to talk to Omega about this.

I told Rassilon's new warden about it, but I wonder about the position it puts Braxiatel in. He knows what Rassilon has done. He's intelligent enough to have kept an eye on both of them. And he must know what's being asked for his redemption.

...I don't even know what it is that he did. I believe I'm afraid to find out.

I do as well. But Rassilon can't go on believing that's the way things will work.

I certainly don't know what he did. I would ask Gaheris, but that's being a bit too nosy for my tastes.

Do you think he would know? Wait. I probably shouldn't be that nosy either, should I?

He may or may not. I know that he and Braxiatel are close, close enough for him to worry about Brax more than he worries about himself.

Some of us hold ourselves together by worrying about other people. But I won't deny appreciating those that worry about me.

I thought wardens weren't even supposed to be in relationships with inmates if they would be a hindrance to their progress. Isn't that one of the only rules the wardens even have?

I believe the rule only applies to their inmate, but I think it's in generally bad taste for an inmate to receive promises such as those. I've never said to Braxiatel I'd take him from the ship and he's my own flesh and blood. It's too big a risk.

I agree with that point. Though, I feel sorry for those that hold together by worrying. It sounds awfully stressful.

Not yet. I was extremely angry. [Less so now. He's easing up.] I did speak with Rassilon's warden though.

Would you- Would you ever promise an inmate that you would get them off the ship? Would you allow them to believe it? After all that's happened?

Well, that's good at least.

Of course not. The Barge would simply not allow him to leave or they would go bring him back. It's what happened every time there was an escape or someone went overboard. You can't leave the Barge until you graduate. Not and go back to your life anyway.

The Master was brought back, after his escape. I don't know that it was the same one, but he was returned.

Twice he was. He'd escaped before that with Judas and Iago. He'd taken over a planet then, but the Barge came for him.

Well... I suppose it doesn't matter. I've talked myself out of meddling more than necessary. I'm proud of that.

I doubt this came up for no reason. Can I ask who it was?
