He's hesitant because he knows what's been going on, and there's some potentially terrible things that he could be admitting about himself right now. So he's going to try really hard not to!] Harper! [And a pause. Okay! Let's go with-] I know how to play the spoons!

He sighs in relief.] I was worried for a moment that I was going to say something considerably worse! [He ignores the mongoose considering a voyage down his pullover.] Such as the fact I know I'm the most problematic, repugnant, and unpleasant of the lot of me and I'd been better off not even having gone through this regeneration.

[Wait.] Ignore that bit. [He makes a pissy huff and cuts the feed.]

[Tim tends to brood and withdraw more when he feels like that, but he long ago accepted that not everyone deals with things like he does. Weird. But he smiles a little and steps inside, peering at that mongoose.]

Hey. Has that thing been here since Harper left?

Rex asked someone to care for it after he came to the conclusion Harper wasn't returning. [He watches it toddle.] It wasn't pretty. I got out some biscuits if you'd like some.

Certainly. [He ignores the mongoose as it grabs some invention or another and drags it across the floor. It's enjoying playing. He'll leave it.

He opens up the TARDIS doors and lets Tim in. She doesn't seem outwardly affected, but the Doctor passes a glance at the console that's thoughtful enough that it reveals she felt something. Mostly, she got briefly excited about Tim.]

The console? ...This one is for piloting. The secondary console room is for ship's systems. It has six sides intended for six pilots.

...Time Lords generally don't wear a lot of clothing conducive to sitting.
