On behalf of the infirmary, I would like to know who has experienced a death toll in the past, what the side effects of it were, and who hasn't experienced a death toll and would be willing to offer their assistance to the infirmary in case an emergency in which we simultaneously experience resurging symptoms should arise.

I would greatly appreciate a response.

[Filtered to Infirmary Staff]

Someone familiar with where O'Brien's room is should get to him.

[Filtered to Una.]

What is Mr. O'Brien's condition? I'm concerned about his death toll recurrence.

Of course I'm worried. Braxiatel missing and now finding out about this.

Though it's unsurprising. He always had a knack for tearing our hearts out, even if he didn't always do it literally.

Alright, you can worry about Brax because I think Brax needs to be worried about. But I'm fine. What about you-how are you holding up?

A few gunshot wounds and being burned alive. Thankfully, only occurring sporadically and not all at once.

Well that's good. I've mostly been having sporadic heart pain.

It's odd, how the symptoms are occurring in small doses.

It is peculiar. But I thought it was my death before arriving here at first, since I was shot in a similar manner then.

That's certainly an odd way to die. At least, for us it is.

[Narvin sees your not!private post. And is, one the one hand, appalled at the Doctor's choice in friends, and on the other, guilty about being responsible for some of the Doctor's death toll pains right now. He may not have been himself when he shot the Doctor, but the mayor's intense guilt is difficult to totally partition away especially since it blurs and mingles with his own feelings.

Narvin, naturally, chooses to focus on the former. The thing that isn't personal.]

I can't believe even someone like you chose to put your trust an evil renegade like the Master in the first place.

That wasn't supposed to be public! How did you see that? Go away! [Completely coherent and logical response.

Okay, well, now it is anyway.] He was my best friend as a boy. We weren't renegades at all then. ...Not really. Alright, we weren't "model citizens" but we weren't [harmful?]

You're entirely too nosy! [This argument totally works from you, Doctor!]

Re: Threadjack Fail!Private
It's not nosiness when you're talking in public, Doctor. [Eavesdropping is totally not the same thing as spying. Really.]

And you weren't renegades then only because you hadn't yet learned how to fly a TARDIS. I remember the stories about you two. [Some of which might even have been true.]

I didn't know it was public! [Oh why couldn't the static have screwed up all that text.] You would think anymore that people would have the common decency to alert a man to when his verbal trousers have come undone and he's displaying his mental undergarments for all to see.

We weren't that bad.

[They were that bad.]

You're imagining it worse than it was because of propoganda.

...That truly is the most awful metaphor you could... [No. He'll just skip over that.]

Well then, consider yourself alerted.

Propaganda? I think your names became synonymous for "trouble-making students" for centuries afterwards. When a student vanished, I think the teachers were surprised it wasn't one of you two.

I was a rule-abiding student. For all the good it did me. [And was the sort of student who would snitch on other students who broke the rules.]

It's too bad you likely didn't have the regular gift packages that I received. [Thank you, Braxiatel.] You might have been more willing to venture outside of the domes.

Why would I have wanted to do that?

Don't tell me you've never seen a double sunset, with the other stars of Kasterborous glinting on the horizon, uninterrupted by the pane of glass and with the smell of freshly bloomed madevinia after a storm on a light breeze? That would explain well enough why one ought to want to.

The only times I've been outside the Citadel on Gallifrey for more than a few moments I was either unconscious, underground, or under a vampire-built, light-blocking transduction barrier. So...no.
