I do have permission to announce this on the Marquis's behalf.

The Marquis has several broken ribs, internal bruising, a concussion, and ligament damage that I don't know that we can properly heal without months of careful surgery, and perhaps in the process extensive physical therapy. Much of the technology here is helpful in aiding him but any recovery from this much damage will take a while. His advanced age doesn't help matters.

The damage he has suffered will take longer than a year to completely recover from, if he does not return home at some point. In his time, there will be no medical knowledge capable in assisting in rehabilitation.

[It takes all of his might /all of his might/ to make a practical statement without cursing the excessive use of violence. But he refrains.] He is obviously able to talk at the moment... and write at great length... so any questions about the incident specifically should be fielded through him. [So hard not to preach. So hard.

Luckily he cuts the feed before he can finish muttering something about human violence.]

[Private to anyone that knows Jim Profit]

As it is more than likely my inmate will lie to me, I need to know about any contact or conversations you may have had with him during and since the flood.

A Zero room is a room that most TARDISes have that can block outside influence. A giant sensory deprivation chamber for psychics that allow us to heal mentally.

Snape's healing potions work well. And there's a gentleman that knows healing spells. It's not without hope.

That- [ he sits up suddenly, because wow, this? This is so, so amazing because- J'onn, man. Plus his own meditation techniques. ] How does a TARDIS accomplish that?

[ Pause. ]

Is there reassurance that they work on people not from their own universe?

The healing potions do. The spells? We're not certain of.

The TARDIS itself is dimensionally transcendent. The Zero room is a dimension within a dimension. When closed, the Zero room is even contained from even the temporal vortex, even the voice of the TARDIS.

With all of the partitioning a Time Lord mind must go through, it's almost a necessity.

Mm. There would be tests done, then. [ Pauuuuuuuuse. ]

I see. [ BRAIN WORKING. ] It sounds useful. Though, you have your TARDIS here, right? You can use the Zero room within it.

I can, yes. It was mostly a concern when there was a sword on board infiltrating the minds of psychics. The infirmary requested one and the request wasn't acknowledged. After all, there may by some chance come a day when there's no TARDIS on board.

In any case, yes, mine currently does have one. It took her a while to reconstruct it after she jettisoned it during an emergency, but it is functional.
