[There's a strange man in Time Lord robes roaming the halls. He's been watching conversations and following along, taking in what's happening. But he doesn't want to intrude. He knows that for some reason that he shouldn't.

However, more than one psychic presence has coaxed him out of his room, away from the irritated TARDIS that's very familiar to him (she doesn't like this psychic aggression, she doesn't like it at all). And now he's trying to keep track of where the most damage is.]

[The Doctor let out a small yelp as the animal slid down his coat and skittered into the console room. His escape could wait, he needed to figure out just what that tiny little demonic creature was. The Doctor started to pat his head, seeing if the mongoose had scratched him anywhere.]

What was that?

Something like the longest Vex I've ever seen... [He stares after it, putting a hand over his mouth. But then-]

You can't take your ship when you're out of temporal sink with it! It'll attempt to align with you and make contact with another version of itself and create a black hole to rival the Neverending Mountains! You're in such a rush you're going to destroy yourself and potentially a good number of people, depending on where you last parked.

[He can tell it's the Doctor's TARDIS (the key), but also out of his timeframe.] ...But she does still need soothing.

[The Doctor scowled, looking at the Other. As much as he hated to admit it, the man had a point. It was a good idea in theory, but this wasn't his TARDIS. While he wanted to get out of here, he wanted to get out of here in one piece.]

Temporal sink or not, she's still my TARDIS. Soothing it is. [He placed a hand on the TARDIS exterior, stroked it slightly, and looked at the ship] I'm sorry about this old girl, I really wish I could make this buffoon vanish and get your proper owner back.
